How do I collect reviews?
Any Seedly user can review your products/services on SeedlyReviews if they've had a recent, genuine experience with you. To provide an accurate representation of your products/services, you should invite all your customers to leave a review on Seedly.
Use the Automated Reviews Collector Tool to send independent and unbiased Reviews Invitation Emails to your customers from your SeedlyBusiness Dashboard. Integrate your customer’s post-purchase journey with the tool and the Reviews Invitation Emails will be automatically sent to your customers’ inbox based on your scheduled delay time. If you are unable to use the Automated Reviews Collector Tool, we recommend that you collect reviews by manually inviting all customers in an equal and identical manner to review you or conduct a systematic and impartial review collection practice such as sending an invite to every third customer. The invitations should be neutral and objective, and should not influence customers to write positive reviews. Other alternatives include adding a “write a review” call-to-action in your Post-customer Service Communication, social media or landing pages.
What is an Automated Reviews Collector Tool?
The Automated Reviews Collector Tool is a system that automates your reviews collection process after a one-time setup.
In your Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System, you are most likely sending a post-purchase confirmation email to customers after they purchase your product. By using the Automated Reviews Collector Tool, you add a unique email address to your email marketing software. This captures your customers’ email addresses and triggers a Reviews Invitation Email after you send your post-purchase email based on the delay schedule you selected. All Reviews Invitation Emails are sent at 7 pm on the scheduled day.
Disclaimer: Seedly does not use your customers’ email for any purpose other than to send out the Reviews Invitation Email and for analytical purposes.
How do I set up the Automated Reviews Collector Tool?
You can set up the Automated Reviews Collector Tool from your SeedlyBusiness Dashboard. This is a one-time setup and you can change the settings anytime. Every time your post-purchase email is sent out, we will be able to track your customers’ email and this information will appear automatically on the dashboard.
Please identify the post-purchase confirmation email that you’d like to be integrated with the tool and ensure that you are logged in to your external email marketing software.
- Ensure that you are a SeedlyBusiness Account user
- Go to https://business.seedly.com and log in using your Seedly User Profile
- Select Reviews Manager, then Automated Reviews Collector
- Click Start Setup
- Copy the unique Seedly email address
- Access your email marketing software's setting
- Paste the unique Seedly email address as a BCC in the post-purchase email have identified
- Return to your SeedlyBusiness dashboard and set a delay duration from the time your post-purchase email is sent out to the time we send out a Reviews Invitation Email
- Click Complete my Setup to confirm the process
How do I edit the delay duration of the Reviews Invitation Emails?
You may edit the delay duration from your SeedlyBusiness Dashboard anytime. You may trigger the Reviews Invitation Emails to be sent on the day of your customers' purchase or up to 12 weeks from the day your post-purchase email is sent to your customers.
Edit the delay duration of existing and future scheduled Reviews Invitation Emails:
- Ensure that you are a SeedlyBusiness Account user
- Go to https://business.seedly.com and log in using your Seedly User Profile
- Select Reviews Manager, then Automated Reviews Collector
- Click Pause Invitations
- Click Yes to confirm your changes
- Click Edit
- Select your new delay duration
- Click Update to save your changes
Edit the delay duration of only future scheduled Reviews Invitation Emails:
- Ensure that you are a SeedlyBusiness Account user
- Go to https://business.seedly.com and log in using your Seedly User Profile
- Select Reviews Manager, then Automated Reviews Collector
- Click Edit
- Select your new delay duration
- Click Update to save your changes
How do I pause sending the Reviews Invitation Emails?
You may pause sending the Reviews Invitation Emails from your SeedlyBusiness Dashboard. This will pause all Reviews Invitation Emails scheduled to be sent. You may resume your invitations anytime.
- Ensure that you are a SeedlyBusiness Account user
- Go to https://business.seedly.com and log in using your Seedly User Profile
- Select Reviews Manager, then Automated Reviews Collector
- Click Pause Invitations
- Click Yes to confirm your changes
How do I keep track of the Reviews Invitation Emails?
The number of Reviews Invitation Emails remaining per month is displayed on Automated Reviews Collector. Depending on your plan, there are different monthly quotas for the number of Review Invitation Emails you can send.
LITE: 50 Reviews Invitation Emails/mth
Affiliate/BASIC*: 250 Reviews Invitation Emails/mth
PRO: 500 Reviews Invitation Emails/mth
*Affiliate and BASIC SeedlyBusiness Account Plan Types will be phased out effective 1 September 2021.
There are different statuses for each email.
Sent: The Reviews Invitation Email has been sent to your customer.
Scheduled: The Reviews Invitation Email has been scheduled to be sent according to the delay duration setting. Please note that there will be a 5 minutes delay from the time the recipient receives your email to the time the email is displayed on your dashboard.
Quota Maxed Out: The total number of Reviews Invitation Emails you have sent and scheduled has hit the quota for the month. The number of Reviews Invitation Emails you can send or schedule will refresh at the start of every calendar month.
Paused: Your Reviews Invitation Emails have been paused and will not be sent unless you resume invitations.
Addressing PDPA Concerns
Seedly does not use the user email for anything else other than to send out the Review Invitation Email and for analytical purposes.
When you paste the unique Seedly email address into the BCC field of the email, the user email will be hosted on our Amazon Web Services (AWS) to retrieve the user's email address and first name. The user email is automatically deleted from our server within 5 minutes.
Seedly does not store or read the user email, information or content. Nobody within Seedly has any access to the user's email, information or content.
